Dr. Kristin Heins is a naturopathic doctor with a special interest in women’s health, mental health, pregnancy and postnatal care, infancy and pediatrics. She has spent over a decade using a compassionate approach to educating and motivating others to participate more actively in their health.
Enthusiasm for fitness and optimal living led Kristin, upon graduating from McGill University, to complete the four year doctor of naturopathic medicine program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). She has since then enriched her approach to treatment through education including lactation support, oncology, pregnancy care, childhood illness, mood disorders and addiction. She is currently studying psychotherapy through the Gestalt Institute of Toronto and offers individual psychotherapy sessions while under supervision starting Fall 2015. Dr Heins is currently also a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND) and the Association of Perinatal Naturopathic Doctors (APND).
Individualized care is at the cornerstone of her practice and patients receive truly specialized treatments with Dr. Heins. She combines a blended approach to supporting the mental and physical well being of her patients and takes time to know and treat the whole person rather than only symptoms. This allows for care to be longer lasting and more effective.
Dr. Heins is a regular corporate lecturer and public speaker on health. To find out more about how naturopathic medicine or gestalt psychotherapy may be the right approach for you, please email her or call the clinic.
