inat Friedland received her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and Psychology from York University in Toronto (2007), and her Master’s degree in the Creative Arts Therapies from Concordia University in Montreal (2011). Ninat is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), a member of the Canadian Art Therapy Association (CATA) and is a part-time faculty member at the Toronto Art Therapy Institute (TATI).
Ninat has been working in the field of the arts and mental health for over ten years, in both clinical and community settings. She has worked with children, youth and adults with a variety of emotional and mental health concerns includingschool adjustment,autism, anxiety, depression, eating disorders and addiction. She is especially interested in maternal mental healthduring pregnancy and the post-partum period, and parent-child interactions. Ninat hasadditional training in mindfulness, narrative therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy from the Sick Kids Centre for Community Mental Health (formerly Hincks-Dellcrest Centre). She draws on these assorted modalities to offer an individualized approach that is collaborative, person-centred, and strengths-based. Ninat’s stance is anti-oppressive, anti-racist, and LGBTQ+ friendly.
